About the Artist

"Strange Worlds"
RM Lewis lives and works in San Diego, California.

Although art and graphic design was a "first love" as a young man, it was not until retirement from a private practice in the behavioral sciences that he returned to the earlier interest.

Now, the goal with each design is "to create one moment of beauty that the viewer might enjoy." The personal philosophy is no more complicated than that.

The body of work is done primarily with computer assisted graphic design programs, such as Adobe Illustrator 9.0, Adobe Photoshop 6.01, Adobe Dimensions 3.0, Macromedia Freehand, Deep Paint and assorted add-on programs that contribute to the variety of techniques available to the artist. The platform is WIN 98. Original photography has also been incorporated into some pieces, using a Nikon N70 35 mm with a 28-300 mm macro zoom lens.

For those who are interested, each piece is available for sale in a variety of formats, which also include matting and framing.

The artist also works as a freelance medical technical writer, illustrator and web site content developer, and provides administrative and psychological consulting to a medical center specializing in the treatment of spinal cord injuries.

We hope you enjoy your visit to RM Lewis Gallery.
